Interested in serving on the Mapleton City Council?

Candidates may file for City Council or Mayor for the town of Mapleton.  The official Notice of Filing is available below.

Candidates for the City of Mapleton may file in person at City Hall, 104 2nd Ave NE, during the filing period.  The filing period begins at 8:00a.m., Tuesday May 19, 2026 and ends at 5:00p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026. 

To file

  1. File an Affidavit of Candidacy.
  2. Submit a Campaign Financial Certification of Filing form
  3. Have their Affidavit of Candidacy witnessed by a Notary Public
  4. Pay the appropriate filing fee which is $2
